Did You Know?
SSL Certificates are important to anyone who sends or receives sensitive data over the Internet. It is the most popular security protocol used online and uses the SSL protocol.

SSL, which stands for Secure Sockets Layer, is a data transfer protocol designed to use a cryptographic (transforming information into an unreadable format, called cipher text) system to securely transfer data. This cryptographic system is comprised of both a public key and a private key that your web browser examines and determines the authenticity of when you visit the webpage. Unlike the way information is typically transferred via a website, the information transferred in this environment cannot be intercepted because of the manor in which it is encrypted.

Originally developed by Netscape, SSL is supported in most browsers, including IE and FireFox.

What's New
Many organizations find themselves needing to let the public know about upcoming events and services. The challenge many of these organizations face involves keeping it up to date. Questions like: “Who will go into their website’s backend and maintain it?” “Does this person have the technical skills to do it?” and “How can we always be sure the current month/week/year is showing?” are raised.

The dynamic calendar Local Link has built into several of our clients’ sites alleviates many of these concerns. This easy to use feature requires no coding background and always shows the current week/month/year. The authorized updater simply logs into the calendar from their website, chooses to add an event and types in event’s information and selects the date and time. Once they save it, that event is immediately posted on the calendar.
